A new television anime adaptation of the light novel series Destiny Unchain Online is set to debut in 2027, with voice actress Ikumi Hasegawa confirmed to star in the production. Alongside the casting announcement, a teaser promo video and details regarding the main staff have been released to the public.

The story follows Kou Mitsuki, an elite gamer known online as Crim the Headhunter. While testing his father's latest game, Destiny Unchain Online, and a new device developed for it, a bug-ridden system transforms him into a vampire girl. The narrative explores how Kou's life changes as he befriends new characters and embarks on an adventure within the game.

The original story was written by resn and first serialized on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in May 2020. Although the author later deleted his profile and removed the work from that platform, serialization resumed on Kadokawa's Kakuyomu website in June 2021. Kodansha published the first print volume of the novel in November 2022, with Yachimoto providing the artwork for the novels. The third volume was released on May 29.

A manga adaptation illustrated by Yachimoto began serialization in July 2022 on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app and later appeared in the Shōnen Magazine R digital magazine starting in August 2022. Following the cessation of Shōnen Magazine R, the series continued exclusively on Magazine Pocket. Kodansha released the 13th compiled book volume of the manga on August 7.
